Bedrooms with Pizazz

I love a colorful, patterned, fun bedroom.  A bedroom with pizazz.  Brimming with interest, smile-inducing, with a touch of warmth — that’s my ideal bedroom.  I thought we could take a look at some super pizazz-y bedrooms this morning — I’ve got a nice collection for all of you!  :-)

I really like this bedroom.  Geometric patterns, a funky accent pillow, and scattered blues.  I find it to be totally fun but also pretty serene.  I think the blues remind me of the ocean and they have a calming effect on me.  The orange isn’t over-powering the room, you know?  It’s simply highlighting it.

A scalloped canopy with thick black trim?  Dying.  Velvet accent pillows that make you want to pet them — yes, please.  And intricate leaf-y table lamps?  So totally cool in this space.  I’ll take it all!

love this room!  You’ve got dots, florals, and a ton of black and white.  But isn’t this space still so punchy? I love that the pizazz isn’t necessarily brought in with color, but with coordinating patterns that play well with one another.  Totally brilliant.

Okay, this wallpaper is so dimensional — I love that!  The gold accents are gorgeous and really luxe up the space, and I find the mix of furniture so interesting — the soft upholstered headboard, angular espresso wood side table, and gold bamboo bench.  They are all so different but they meld really well together.

How much are you loving these reddish-pink pops of color?  Oh, and that super-funky wallpaper that literally makes me want to dance?  A dabble of fur will surely warm me up — both my feet and shoulders are good to go!

This coral color + patterns is killer!  I love it!  The robin’s egg blue is scattered throughout the room, which I really like.  And, of course, a furry bench.  I just can’t get enough furry benches these days.

Okay, I sort of debated whether or not to put this room in this post, but I do love the color palette so I decided to include it.  I like that the orange-y flange on the duvet cover is repeated in the fun trim on the Roman shade.  I also really love the fireplace because it is unexpected and a pretty luxurious addition.  But the accent pillows on the bed — not loving those.  To me, they seem to be having a power struggle with the duvet cover.  They don’t look like they really match!  The patterns seem too random, and the total awesomeness of the bed treatment is lost on me because I am too busy looking at those pillows thinking, “Something seems off.”  I don’t know.  Maybe it’s just me.  But this room has a couple of really strong positives so I thought I would keep the picture in this post.

This pink-swirled canopy with dressmaker details is seriously so lovely — and I think it’s brilliant that it is repeated on the headboard, too.  A touch of blue is expertly placed on the floor, armchairs, window and wall treatments.  This is called the Rule of Threes, and that’s a post for another day, but I thought I’d throw you the term.  ;-)  This bedroom literally makes my heart sing!

What do you think?  Are you into the pizazz factor, or do you prefer a much more neutral space in your bedroom?
